The T51R Mod is a turbo sound modification for the Gen 2 B58 platform, commonly found in the A90/A91 MKV Supra and other B58-powered BMW models. This modification is designed to enhance the OEM turbo’s spool sound by modifying the compressor housing, giving the car a louder, more aggressive “jet-like” turbo whistle while maintaining factory turbo functionality.
At 1010 Performance, we remove the turbo housing, perform or install the T51R-modified housing, and reinstall everything properly so the car keeps OEM drivability while gaining a much more exciting turbo sound. This is a perfect upgrade for Gen 2 B58 owners who want more sound and presence without needing a bigger turbo setup.
